Domaine du Pinier is situated on the road to the Upper Aude Valley, just a step away from Carcassonne and not far from the town of Limoux. The property, dating from the 17th century has been converted into a residence. Legend has it that the estate is named for a majestic umbrella pine which once stood on the property under which the Black Prince is said to have set up an encampment in 1355.
